New Zealand Football
Football does not have the high profile of rugby in NZ, and New Zealand’s All Whites have not had the same success on the world stage as the All Blacks.
Football, commonly known as soccer, is however very popular especially at junior levels. If you have a good football player in your family, they will probably do very well in New Zealand.
UK football games are broadcast on in New Zealand on Sky TV, and the results are widely reported in the news. While the senior leagues in New Zealand may not have the same skill levels as their UK counterparts, it is still a good spectator sport. Even major games have very reasonable ticket prices, and there is none of the crowd violence that dogs the sport in the UK.
